A naming or adoption ceremony is one of life’s most meaningful moments — a beautiful opportunity to celebrate a child’s arrival, their name, their welcome and the love that surrounds them, or a young person, joining a family and the welcome, love and recognition of an incredible journey. I’ll work closely with you to design a ceremony that reflects your family’s values, cultural heritage, and the hopes and wishes you hold future. Every ceremony is entirely bespoke, thoughtfully crafted through storytelling, symbolism, and heartfelt expression — never a template, always uniquely yours.
Through in-depth, supportive conversations, I take the time to understand your family’s story — the journey to this moment, the meaning behind your child’s name, the traditions that shape you, and the moments you wish to honour. Together, we’ll explore and create custom rituals and symbolic elements that feel authentic to your family, whether inspired by culture, faith, family traditions, or modern expressions of love and belonging. .
From your first enquiry to the ceremony itself, I will support you every step of the way and offer guidance with wording, readings, and ceremony structure, while liaising with your chosen venue and ensuring everything flows beautifully on the day. Whether your naming ceremony is intimate or celebratory, traditional or contemporary, it will be delivered with warmth, confidence, and lasting meaning for your family and guests.

I will also incorporate cultural and spiritual rituals from around the world, including hand-tying, sand ceremonies, unity candles, garland exchanges, broom jumping, and other African, Caribbean, European, Asian, or multicultural traditions. Every element is introduced with care and respect, ensuring all guests feel included and connected.

Sourcing poetry, readings and music (if required)

Firstly, we’ll schedule A consultation session together so I’m able to learn from your story and dreams.
Book a friendly consultation with me to talk through your ideas, your journey, and the kind of ceremony you’re dreaming of.
Next, I’ll start to design your Bespoke ceremony based on your story, family and friends’ memories..
After consultation with you, and your family, friends who are playing a role, I ’ll write a ceremony that reflects your story, culture, and values — from the words and rituals, tales and stories, fun times and laughter to make the day special..we can even include your furry friends..after all, they are family too !
Finally, We’ll Celebrate together your event in Perfect Harmony and enjoy.
All that’s left to do will be to relax and enjoy a beautifully delivered ceremony, surrounded by the people who matter most, as your story is shared and celebrated.

I can include candle lighting, sand ceremonies, rose blessings, water/salt rituals, tree planting, or cultural blessings. Each ritual reflects family unity, heritage, or hope for the child’s future.

Whether African naming blessings, Caribbean family traditions, Asian rituals, or European customs, I incorporate these respectfully and explains their meaning to guests.

At some time in your life, you may wish to change your name to mark the end of a chapter and the start of a new one. I will work with you to create a ceremony and celebration which you can share with family and friends

Families often receive personalised printed certificates for the child and guide-parents as a memento of the day.
