Our Story

The name Symphony Rose comes from the beauty of music — each note and harmony reflecting the moments and memories that shape who we are.

Like a symphony, Kathy blends your culture, traditions, personality, and story into a ceremony that feels authentic and beautifully unique. Whether bold and vibrant or soft and simple, every detail is crafted with creativity and care.

Kathy excels in her role as a celebrant and her professionalism clearly shines through. She’is well prepared for her ceremonies, communicates clearly and approaches her work with genuine dedication.

Having witnessed her in action at mum's 65th birthday, it’s clear that she has a natural ability to command a room with confidence and ease. Her presence, delivery and connection with people are very strong. I can confidently vouch for her skill, reliability and the exceptional standard she brings to her role. Her delivery is both polished and heartfelt as she demonstrates a deep understanding of the significance of her role. Anyone who works with Kathy will see the value she brings

  • Gill - Testimonial

Kathy and I met thirteen years ago during an interview at a sixth form college, and we immediately hit it off. We worked closely together for several years and have remained steadfast friends ever since, both professionally and socially. Throughout the years, Kathy has proven to be a loyal, caring, and thoughtful friend, as well as an exceptional professional. She is highly organised, creative, and detail-focused, with a calm, logical approach that shines in even the most pressured situations. A patient listener and natural planner, Kathy consistently goes above and beyond in everything she does.

Those fortunate enough to have Kathy as their celebrant will be in very good hands. She recently conducted a beautiful surprise ceremony for my birthday, thoughtfully involving my family and close friends through personal tributes. The ceremony was flawlessly planned and executed, and the bound album she created with all the testimonials made it an emotional and unforgettable experience—one I will always treasure.

Fun Facts About Symphony Rose Ceremonies & Working With Kathy

Symphony Rose Started With… a Melody

What began as a simple idea about life being like music turned into a full-blown business. One moment, Kathy was humming a tune, the next she was designing ceremonies like symphonies, and crafting ideas by the day!

Kathy Collects Stories Like Other People Collect Shoes

She genuinely loves hearing people’s journeys, evident in the roles she has held in the past— the funny bits, the emotional bits, the "we met on a random Tuesday" bits. If there’s a story behind it, she wants to know it.

She Has a Magical Ability to Make Everyone Feel Calm

Even on big, emotional days, Kathy is the person who brings the “everything’s going to be beautiful” energy. People who know her often say her presence feels like a deep breath out.

She Can Spot a Good Ritual From a Mile Away

Hand-tying? Candle lighting? Cultural blessings? If it adds meaning, Kathy’s already planning how to weave it in — with style, symbolism, and a sprinkle of creativity.

Her Caribbean & African Heritage Inspires Everything

From colours to cultural rhythms, Kathy brings warmth and richness to her ceremonies. Even her planning notes occasionally include the words “add more flair.”

She’s Serious About Your Ceremony… But Not Too Serious

Kathy believes ceremonies should feel joyful — so expect laughter, big smiles, and the occasional “that’s perfect!” moment during planning. Working with her is like organising something special with a very enthusiastic friend.
