More about me, Kathy

I am a celebrant trained and accredited in everything from Weddings to farewells, who believes that every story deserves to be heard, honoured, and celebrated in perfect harmony. With a background rooted in travel, creativity, culture, and community, I bring warmth, artistry, and genuine care to every ceremony I create.

From beautiful weddings to multicultural celebrations and intimate life events, my approach is heartfelt, inclusive, and always centred on you.

  • I bring a powerful blend of professional training, cultural understanding, and lived experience to every ceremony I create. As a qualified celebrant, I am formally trained by the Academy of Modern Celebrancy (AMC) — and the Academy of Professional Celebrants (APC) the UK’s leading organisations for contemporary, personalised, and inclusive ceremony design.My certification reflects not only skill and expertise, but a commitment to crafting ceremonies with originality, artistry, and care.

  • I am a proud member of the Sutton African & Caribbean Cultural Organisation (SACCO).
    My involvement deepens my connection to heritage, community, and cultural expression — values that shape every ceremony I design.

  • With years of experience working alongside diverse and marginalised groups, I approach every ceremony with empathy, sensitivity, and respect.
    I am is especially committed to serving:

    • Black and POC families

    • Multicultural and blended families

    • LGBTQ+ couples

    • Communities often underrepresented in the wedding and celebrancy space

  • I am a preferred supplier to venues in Surrey and London, and come recommended by venue hosts to offer bespoke, personalised ceremonies.

  • Recognising the amazing work of local, National and International Rotary Clubs, I am now a member of the local Rotary Club which is dedicated to fundraising in partnership with local charities in order to help local, national and international communities

  • I have many years of experience working within the public sector, with charities and local authority.

    My work with people from a variety of different backgrounds, love of art, poetry and creative writing have been my inspiration for embarking on a celebrant pathway.

  • Inspired and forever grateful to the staff at The Royal Marsden from nurses to researchers, I am grateful for the care my brother received, and happy to donate a portion of everything I earn to a worthy cause

What began as a simple idea about life being like music turned into a full-blown business. One moment, I was humming a tune, the next I was designing ceremonies like symphonies, and crafting ideas by the day!

I genuinely love hearing people’s journeys, evident in the roles I have held in the past— the funny bits, the emotional bits, the "we met on a random Tuesday" bits. If there’s a story behind it, I want to know it.

Even on big, emotional days, I am the person who brings the “everything’s going to be beautiful” energy. People who know me often say my presence feels like a deep breath out !
